    rt2000 capture resolution

How do I change the resolution of the video I capture with the Matrox RT2000 card? In Premere all I can capture at is 720x480. Is there any way to change this to something else?(like 640x480?) If yes, How do I do it?

No. The RT2000 captures at 720x576 PAL or 720x480 NTSC. These resolutions are suitable for DV or DVD. If you want a smaller / different resolution then you'll have to resize when exporting or buy an analogue capture card such as a WinTV.

Please note that the inability to change DV capture/export resolutions is a limitation of the DV codec itself and not a limitation of the RT-2x00 hardware. All DV devices are so limited.

You can export to other formats in whatever resolution you like as long as the export codec's limitations are followed.

Ex: some codecs require their horizontal resolution to be an even multiple of 16.
