Effects Accelerators (near Real-Time?)

I recently read about a card called the Canopus Xplode. It is a hardware 3D effects card that cuts down rendering times for both DV and MJPEG editing systems. It is also the main video card, so it cannot be used in conjunction with the Marvel or Millenium/RR. I have not checked the price of this card, but it got me wondering... are there other effects generators that can be used with the Marvel? The 3D accelerator "Voodoo II" can be used to speed up 3D games on the Mystique. Are there 3D accelerators specially built to accelerate filters and transitions?

Yes, I read about it too. But it is combination of effects engine and 32MB AGP graphics card(Nvidia TNT2). Then I mean that this is not for me. I have G200TV+RR.
