    Cropping In VirtualDub 1.3d

Hi All. I have a question for all the "Dubbers" out there.

    Here goes:

Is it possible to crop a film clip in Virtual Dub 1.3d ? I've looked in every single meny, but I can't find it...maybe there is no such feature...but there should be ! I mean if you want to be able to get the best result, you should be able to crop the out put file...escessially when you are working with really wide film formats, such as Cinemascope (ratio 2.35:1).

Looking forward to some help on this.

    Thanks.

    Christopher

You can crop by adding the fill-filter in the Video menu. (At least on 1,3c..).

      Christopher Cameron:
Go into the filters menu, choose the null transform filter (if you don't want to do any other filtering) and then choose "clipping" to allow you to clip out any of the image you want to. (note: You can choose clipping for ANY filters you are using to clip out parts of the image) If you want to do fills, then do as Joxx recommended and use the fill filter.
