RT2000&AMD any Probs
Before I go out and buy the RT2000 is there any problems between it and the AMD chips(Athlon 550) or are Pentiums just prefered???

The processor is not the issue, but the chipset on the motherboard, you are planning to use.
If you can find an Athlon mobo with an Intel chipset, you have it made

I have been using an Athlon 650 with the Gigabyte 7IX motherboard and have not encountered any problems.
If you use an Athlon just make sure you pick one of the tested boards listed on the Matrox web site.
