DIVX GAIN 5.01 ad version question

So I downloaded and installed the recent DIVX GAIN 5.01 ad version and discovered the annoying pop up ads. I ran the freeware program Ad Aware and it detected the ad programs installed by GAIN and removed all of them. DIVX still seems to work ok; and I have no more pop ups....

but I was wondering if the removal of the GAIN aspect of the DIVX package somehow reduced some DIVX 5 features? Is this likely; or was it really that easy to remove to GAIN ads?
