Iwill VD133Pro with Onboard Raid - BAD IDEA for vid capture.

Anyone considering this board be forewarned that the IRQ assignment for the onboard raid is hardwired to share the IRQ assignment with the 1st PCI/AGP slot. The result is dropped frames when capturing video. Since it is a hardwired solution there is no update that will cure this problem.

I of course didn't realize this until I had bought the board.

Tis a real pity about this since the board is very stable and quite fast. Maybe Iwill will address this in a future revision.

One more reason I have not repeated the mistake I made with my first PC: building with a board that had integrated features. That was one helluva mistake.

Jeez Doc you forgot to add "told you so,,"

All isn't totally lost however. Since I can't return the damn thing I am gonna dust off my old Mystique 220/Rainbow Runner and set up another work station.
