MegaPEG MPEG-2 offer

I recently purchased Adobe Premiere 5.1. It came with an offer to upgrade from MegaPEG LE to DVD & MPEG-2 for "only" $99. Of course I only have 30 days to act . . . I figure it will take at least 30 before I am able to answer this on my own. So I'd like some advice - is it a good deal or am I wasting money for something that can be picked up for free?

bbMPEG is better than MegaPEG. MegaPEG cant do variable bitrate. The picture quality is better with bbMPEG. bbMPEG is free.

Thank you for saving me some money - I have a lot of work ahead of me before I'm up to speed on this. I find working with computer video to be a lot like pealing an onion, tears and all.
