    Linux and G400TV

    Hi,

Does anyone know if it's at all possible to use the video capture (MJPEG) facilities of the Matrox G400TV card in Linux? Or does no program and driver exist, or will it never exist? Try as I might there only seems to be windows stuff - a pity since video capture on my G400TV is the only thing stopping me from switching over to Linux from Win2K. Or might there be a linux solution in the pipeline?

I'm replying to my own post. But, while I think of it if matrox won't ever create a linux driver and program to do video capture with MJPEG can anyone suggest of a solution, maybe an alternative capture card (please not those horrible BT848 things or ATI's creations) - something that would run under linux and does as well as a G400TV.
