AVI to TV problem

When i try to output my AVI (352x288) on TV, the video is bigger than the TV screen so that some pieces of images is invisible.

Why ?

It's called "overscan".

Video normally is clipped a bit by TV sets as there is extra info in the frame to account for TV's that are out of adjustment.

Usually there is more extra on the sides than on the top/bottom, but there is extra on all 4 sides.
