    Videocapture: WDM -> AVI

    Hi,

    this may be a stupid question, but I just started yesterday with this. I'm looking for suggestions for a software that will do nothing else but reliably capture from a WDM / DirectShow - device (not VfW) to an AVI-file. I would use VirtualDub, but the WDM-VfW - wrapper does not let me acces resolutions higher than 352*xxx ... any other suggestions / pointers?

          Hi,

          Win98 SE, Haupauge BT 848, 256 MB RAM, 2 GhZ Athlon (in about 2 hours ;-), I'm already wearing the jacket, ready to go on a shopping spree) ...

              Does the Hauppage thing only come with MPEG capture tools?

              If it does, have a look here: http://www.digtv.ws/html/virtualvcr/index.php
              Haven't tried it, but it's a capture app for use with WDM cards and your BT chip is supported.
