Premiere + FireWire? How 'bout MSP + DV Patch + MJPEG?

I bit the bullet and bought this Dynamic Media Collection thingy... It's all cool except Premiere's support (or lack of support) for 1394 cards. Do I still have do do all my editing in MSP?

The reason I don't want to have to do that is because MSP's DV Patch has prevented me from loading a Matrox MJPEG video into the timeline anymore. To edit with any of my original projects, I have to re-install MSP 6.0. What's the deal there?

You have the full version of MSP 6.0? My MSP 6.0 VE has got no problems loading the MJPEG movies at all after the update. Strange. Any others have the problem?
