Learning about compression
I've found an Oz site which gives some good explanations about compression, formats and a host of other good info, in simple language. It tends to be somewhat pro-Mac/Adobe but this does not detract from the content. It may be found at http://www.learndynamicmedia.com/articles/
May be too simple for the gurus, though, but I learnt a few odd things with just 30 minutes browsing.
