YUY2 codec

Does anybody have some patch or something like that
which enables codec choosing in PC-VCR when capturing YUY2?

I'm using Marvel G400-TV on WinXP with VT02.04.15b.

PC-VCR does not support YUY2 capture. You should use a program like AVI_IO or VirtualDUB;

Note that YUY2 is not a playback codec but is instead a lossless capture and editing codec. Export to something else like MJPeg or MPEG-2 for playback.

... under W2k there is a strange thing happening with YUY2 function, for instance, in VirtualDub video format choose window - it always disppears... and I have to execute YUY2 patch every time I need to choose this format... is it normal?

YUY2 capturing with PC-VCR is possible. Yes, it's possible but only Matrox YUY2.

In AVI_IO, VDub, UMSP,... I can choose codec and I'm capturing in HUFFYUV, DiVX,...

Download MVT 2.10.010a from Matrox and download XP Update from my page http://adis.szm.com/

It works fine with RRG and you'll be able to capture YUY2 and MMJPEG.

Yes.

My "patch" for Windows 2000 merely sends a message to the hidden button to make it visible. It does not actually change anything in the codec itself, therefore it has to be executed each time.
