I have a SB Audigy 2, and a Asus A7V8X mainboard. Both of these have firewire. Are they equal? Is there an advantage to using one over the other?

I thought this was answered already.. I guess this is a backup of the forums
from what I have read the throughput on the audigy cards is a bit less than what the one on the motherboard / dedicated card has to offer.. IIRC Dr. Mordid suggested getting a dedicated card, if all else failed ADS or something
