New w2k g400-tv drivers cause PC-VCR to break

    I am running windows whistler.
yes I know this is even less supported than w2k.
after installing the new g400-tv drivers from 11/6/2000, the pc-vcr will not work.
it says, "Matrox video editing hardware is currently not available, another program may be using your matrox video editing hardware ..."
Has anyone else had this problem or have any idea on fixing it.
    thanx for any help

I had the same problem in Win2k.
You have to go into the hardware manager and remove anything RR-G related. Use the "approved" dideo drivers (5.55?). Good luck, it took me _many_ attempts.
(hint: click the "show hidden devices".)

Uninstalling the vid tools may not remove the device in actuality..
