radeon 9200 VIVO capture issues

Ok, so I'm trying to cap video w/ my new VIVO 9200 card. I've tried using both composite and S-Video. I've tried using multiple capture programs.

My problem is that when i go to capture from my Sony Handycam, the image that I'm seeing on my camera is not what I see on my PC. If I'm lucky, I'll see a very vague, flickery outline of what I'm seeing on my camera. Any clues?

are you sure you have the right cable connected?.. a vague flickery image sounds like ghosting, or crosstalk from the right cable, onto the wrong one.. ( mind you that would be a feat on Svideo) or maybe there is just a problem with the video in on the card...

i was thinking maybe the video in is borked. I tried every cable possible.
