Is it possible to output a region 1 DVD via the G400 Marvels DVD Max feature and display the output on a PAL television here in the UK?

After flashing my Ricoh 9120A drive with region free firmware I am curious to know if this is viable or whether I would need a TV capable of accepting NTSC input.
