2 Gb filelimit with Marvel G400TV

Hallo, I've got finally my old Marvel working under Win XP SP1 (thanks to Adis!). Everything works (HW MJPEG, Picvideo MPJEG, YUV-capturing) except that I can't capture longer than 2 Gb. How can i make bigger files (I'm using NTSC).

gives you 3x2 GB in trial and 6x2=12GB full ver. captured video.

Do not use 2K3 MJPEG codec. It works but it is unstable.
PIC Video is the best IMHO.

Actually, AVI_IO doesn't allow you to make more than 4GB PER file, virtualdub lets you capture more than 4GB per file, make sure the partitition you are capturing to is NTFS.

I don't know about the trial since I haven't used it in years, but the full version do not have those limits you state

Hi, Technoid is right, i still use avi_io (occasionally though) and the full version has NO limitations it can capture as many file segments as your hd capacity can handle. Best prog for lip-sync capturing.

Sorry my mistake, I've been confused. I meant that I made a capture with 6x2 GB file with the full versin.
Exactly speaking I captured as large as 5x2GB and one with 1.7GB in my case. Never tried to capture larger files.
And, I prefer smaller (2 GB) chunks insted of a large file.
The VIA Southbridge in my PC is unstable with large files, over 3 or 3.5 GB.

I get the feeling that Sjoezepoes is referring to NTFS, instead of NTSC. Looking at the style of the message, I think that Sjoezepoes's native language is Dutch, and we don't have NTSC over here.

You're right my native language is Dutch and I'm referring to NTFS as filesystem (I'm using PAL).
I've tried Virtualdub and this works, I can capture very large files.
I want these files because I'm using my old PC as a digital VCR and those captures are viewed on my home PC over the network.
I don't want to edit with this configuration, except for cutting out some commercials; for my editing I'm using my trusty RT2000.
So I want to play the captured movie (or documentation,...) on my home PC, which is connected to my TV. I play these files with Mediaplayer and DVDmax, therefore I want one big file, otherwise I would have to run to my PC every 9 minutes (2 Gb limit).
How do I make captured MJPEG movie to a DVD-disc (I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro).
