Why cant I find DMA setting in properties of c drive

I can remember the "DMA" setting for my hard drive being there quite a while ago,and on my recent check it is gone?? I had updated the bios a while ago, maybe this reconfigured in an auto type of control? I did try an update on the hard drive driver on the net. No change.

Mobo MS-6167
AMD-600 K7
128 meg ram
20 gig maxtor HD 7200 rpm

DMA setting are not available when using any third party drivers, only when using M$'s. In your case this would be AMD's bus mastering drivers (any version) and is normal. (read the readme file about it).
