S-video connection b/w on play back

I capture to G200 no problem using S-video cable, but when i try to export, it is B@W, tested it on my SVHS VCR and my Sony PC100.

Is there someting i should do to the computer?
or possibly a problem with the cable?

Old G200 issue when the video signal isn't really strong at the input. A lot of consumer gear doesn't quite meet the spec for output signal strength.

My Hi8 cam's output is a bit below spec and the Marvel G200 couldn't bring it up to a high enough level before it was encoded.

I fixed it with a small video preamp from Radio Shack. $20.
