Single Frame Capture with MSPro7

I'm capturing DV with a firewire in MSPro 7 and want to capture single frames. I can't seem to get decent quality. Edges are jagged. I turned on the highest quality setting and saved the frames as jpegs and bmps.
Is there a trick to this or another way to do it? I got better images when I was using my G 400-TV card.

Video Editor

File
Preferences
Edit tab
Tick 'Save image interlace'

OR

Video Capture

File
Preferences
Tick 'Image capture interlace'

Then try a frame capture again
