Ok, I am a complete n00b to this video stuff. But I have a client who wants to burn his vid camera videos to (CD) to show family. What format/programs etc is required to do this type of stuff? And he dont have a dvd burner atm, so is he looking at hardware or just vcd formats? :clueless:

VCD /SVCD is probably the best bet for palyback on most component dvd players.
But if the have an mpeg 4 compatible player divx /xvid mp3 is probably the go.
try doom9.org for all the tools you will need for either.
PS this should be in desktop video not digital imaging.
