Audio from BOB problems

HI everyone,
I have the Marvel G400 and I am using the Soundblaster Live Value sound card. I cannot get the sound to output from the BOB unit. I actually have to run a direct line from my output port on the soundcard to the vcr to get sound. Video is not a problem. Can anyone help me out?

I know it's crazy, but this is a fault that some people have and others don't. At least, it sporadically appears here on the forum.

In fact, I couldn't reproduce the problem at all on either my PII/AWE32 (ISA) or Celeron300a/Yam XG192 (PCI). However, the latest PC I've built (Tbird 800 on A7V with SB PCI128), this problem has happened. As usual, I've forgotten to bring my box of connectors up to the weektime residence to bypass the BOB, but most folks report that just bypassing the BOB for audio works fine
