Capturing from Panasonic DV953 using MSP?

Just found out that my Panasonic DV953 camcorder uses USB instead of the more usual firewire. Loaded Win XP USB driver (from Panasonic web site) but MSP still doesn't see the camcorder. Has anyone been successful in getting this combination to work? Thanks.

That camera does have firewire -- it's listed as "i.LINK (IEEE 1394 PC Interface)" at the Panasonic web site. USB connections of camcorders are usually only for still image transfer and low-res video. I suggest you use firewire.

Your are right !!! There is firewire port on the camcorder !! Hidden under my handstrap !!!
