    Help! RT2000 NTSC-only problem

Has anyone else had problems with the Matrox RT2000 (aargh! don't all shout at once! :-)...I'm having a problem where all captures in Premiere 5.1c are all NTSC, even if I try to choose/load PAL settings, and set everything up to 25fps! It glitches a lot too...

It's a Win98 SE system (yeah I know, but it's all it will support ATM!), Compaq Ap250, 256Mb, 17gig UDMA IDE HD and 40gig dedicated UDMA IDE HD, Premiere 5.1c, Version 2 MEGA tools and Service pack 1 drivers, IEEE964 (?) Firewire card, onboard sound...deck is a S-VHS recorder with TBC/s-video and composite outs.

This error occured after fixing Premiere 5.1c's 'Disk Full' problem (by switching Display/Settings/Advanced/ TV/video settings from NTSC to PAL) where before I didn't get anything at all when Preview or Render, just the above 'Disk Full' don't-know error!

Now it DOES work, capturing from S-video or composite, as DV-DVCAM I've tried and MPEG works I think, but even though I select the PAL/720x576 settings & proper 25fps framerate it always comes out NTSC in capture.

Any thoughts? It's driving me nuts!

    Tim:

One possibility is offered in Matrox's RT2000 faq:

You should have had the option to choose the video standard when you installed the RT2000 software. According to the faq, the only way to change the video standard setting is to re-install the software. Have you tried removing and reinstalling? It's a hassle, I know. But it's often the only thing that works.

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow...I also found after I'd posted a useful Matrox posting hidden away in their forums:

Apparently you should also delete the Prem50.prf file? Is this correct?
