    wmv9 outputs green & pink on TV

    Been searching the forum for a solution to this flaw but didn´t come up with good results.
    I´ve had this problem for quite some time now but didn´t really bother, that is until now.

    Using the latest driver package (being Adis´modified 5.92.006+ version) WMV9 encoded content is displayed in green and pink colors through DVDMax. I also encountered this with the previous driver. Now that I finally have a broadband connection, it would be nice to get this thing solved, as a lot of streaming content providers use WMV9. Any clues?

      Sorry, I didn't tried that and momentarily can't do that because my 2nd PC with Marvel inside is formatted.

      Did you tried with different players?

          Yeah, tried it with every WMV9-capable player. Unchecking "use video renderer" in WMP´s performance tab solved the problem, although I don´t know if this will degrade playback image quality.

              Green usually means something's screwing up the video overlay. In the WMP options the use of video overlay requires that the video renderer be rurned on (Tools/Performance/Advanced) before you can check the box for video overlays. Do you have BOTH checked?

                  That´s exactly why I unchecked video overlay in the performance settings. Strange though that it only occurs with WMV9 encoded content.
                  What effect will disabling video overlay have on playback, quality and/or performance-wise?

                      I'll try it on the wifes machine. She has a G40-TV with an earlier version of the Adis drivers. If they work maybe you should go back a version or two.
