RT-2000
My dads thinks about buying a video-editing platform, rt-2000 probably. one question though: the rt is rather old, does matrox have something like an rt-3000 planned??

The RT-2000 is a scalable platform in that the potential of Flex3D hasn't even been scratched yet. As such the feature set is far from fixed.
The new 3.0 drivers provide new functions that your dad will love. Check the info on the public beta of these drivers here;
It now comes with Premiere 6.0 and has a ton of new stuff in there.
