avi_io crashes and no stations

i downloaded the trial version and i'm having a few problems.

the staion list is disabled for some reason.

and, if i capture using mjpeg hardware encoder, avi_io crashes when it is done captureing.

i have a g400 tv on an athlon 900 system

The author of AVI_IO emailed me and said that the current version of AVI_IO doesn't support the matrox. However, he has a matrox capture card and is working on a new version that will work with the matrox tuner.

Funny. I use nothing but AVI_IO with my Marvels. TV tuner and all. Hmmmm.....

It's funny that the staion list works for you. You have the g400 tv?

Here's the email I got.

The Marvel's tuner is not working with Intercast, the currently used
technology by AVI_IO and that's why the button is greyed out. The next major
version will support DirectShow and this technology is used by the Marvel. I
do have a Marvel and I'm planning to fully support this device too.


Are you able to capture using the matrox mjpeg at high resolutions (720x480)?

No, AVI_IO doesn't work with intercast. But it sure works with our cable ;-)
