I have NO idea as to its veracity, except that Videoguys is also hinting at it.

The alleged difference: no requirement for a G400 Flex 3D card. Use whatever 3D card you want as long as it's fast enough.

If real this product is likely an outgrowth of the RTMac project, where it is also a single card solution.

It also has an onboard G400 just for doing the video output, so counting an AGP dualhead main display adapter you have triple outs. The BOB has also been redesigned and is smaller.

Rumor also is that the 3.0 MEGApack goes into release today as well.

Guess I sold my old board at the right time...This sounds perfect for when I get in the market for editing again. "on board G400..." Wow. That would be great too, since I love the dual head output (old G200 just can't compare). Any idea on MRSP?

Thats my main reasons when I've return
the rt2k and choose storm.
I am thinking for second system and comparing
their suite with rex, so I guess I will wait
to see the new card...

...and does this mean they've thrown in the 3D towel for real? (yes) which is probably good for everybody...CHOICE, right? We can still buy a G450, 550, 800, etc, or go with a KyroII...

It just means SALES SALES SALES for Matrox.
