    Day for Night filter

    Hi all.
    is there any Day for Night filter for MSP7? I have used Nick's blue only filter to simulate the night, but the outcome is very dark and very blue. Any suggestions ?

      Try lowering the Gamma in the Brightness & Contrast of the "FX" options.
      We pass this way only once. Make the most of it !

          One of the big mistakes that Hollywood nearly always makes is to keep the colour in on night scenes. Except very occasionally on the brightest full moon, the human eye has no perception of colour at night. The first thing is therefore to convert to monochrome. Blacks are still black but whites (under moonlight) are a shade of grey with only a slight bluish cast. I would therefore then reduce the brightness to where it seems plausible. Then you can add about 10% blue using colour balance.

          Once you have found the conditions that suit you, you can put the filters as presets in your own library.
