    Replacing Marvel

I may be replacing my Marvel 200G in the future by a non-matrox card (eg Miro). What are the implications for may current MJPEG clips /MSP projects? Is there a way to make sure I can still play/use them with the new card or does everything needs to be recaptured using the new card? Is there anything I can/should do with new projects (still started on Marvel) to enable/facilitate future transfer to a new card?

You may want to check this out:

Video codecs: M-JPEG, JPEG2000, JPEG-XR. Digital Cinema. Stereoscopic 3D. Video For Windows (VfW) & DirectShow. Adobe Premiere Pro. 32-bit & 64-bit.

It should allow you to continue your projects and use your clips without hassle. Good luck!

And you could read Uwe's guide on how to go about using software MJPEG codecs. There are some newer ones available since he wrote the article, but they all work in the same manner.
