Complete driver uninstall necessary in Win2k?

I'm doing a test of various display driver versions with VT 2.02 in Win2k. Is the Win9x style driver uninstall process necessary with Win2k?

When I replaced the 5.20 Marvel drivers with the Millenium 5.52 drivers, the 5.52 drivers took effect without problems and I didn't go through the uninstall procedure.

FYI, Mill 5.52 display drivers don't fix DualHead for my Marvel G400.

The brokeness of win9x installers is creeping into w2k installers.

Follow the vendor's instructions exactly, no deviations. Any "shortcuts" are at your peril.

When in doubt, reboot.
