    Video capture Newbie

Ive got a new Sony PCG-XG700
    w/ i.LINK (IEEE 1394) S400 interface.

Im making 37GB videos w/ pretty good quality
but there only like 9 seconds!

I need lots of help eh?

Is it hopeless w/ my hardware or do I have a chance?

Im getting my videos from a Sony DV8 Camcorder with firewire hook-up.

I'm not familiar with your hardware, but just want to offer a bit of general advice. If you post specifically what you are doing, what you want to achieve, what your results are, and your system configuration, it makes it easier for someone to help you.

Deepmist, can you check that claim carefully ? How the hell do you pull some 3 and a half Gig a SECOND across a firewire port ?

I'm starting to figure it out a lil bit.
          Adobe premiere is fixing things.
