      I'm betting on AVCHD. JVC and Panasonic work on parallel tracks (JVC is a semi-autonimous Matsushita/Panasonic division) and Panasonic is a founding member of the AVCHD group.

      This cam would be a nice launch for the AVCHD format, and if successful could pull JVC out of its financial doldrums.
