    Disaster In "Blu-ray Disc" Land???

It seems the manufacturers may be -- in a sneaky sort of way -- *revoking* the ability of newer model stand alone "Blu-ray Disc" players to play consumer-authored BD-R and BD-RE discs!!!

Does anybody know if the "Blu-ray Disc" camp is so confident of victory that they've already decided to limit consumer choice in a sort of monopoly-like move to hinder consumer video recording onto BD-R and BD-RE discs?

If this turns out to be true, then count me firmly in the "HD DVD" camp!!!

I'm firmly in the ignore both until they come to their senses camp.

Maybe when the players are $50 and the movies are $10 like DVDs are now I'll go with the "winner", but otherwise, forget-about-it!
