I'm using the Nero Vision MPEG-2 encoder, which is quite good. Is there anyting faster or better than Nero Vision or the TMPGEnc range of software ?

Several years ago I started to use Procoder, did not touch anything else since. Procoder gave me (at least those days) the best results in rendering PAL MPEG-2 from NTSC source. Or the other way around.
Not as cheap as Nero or TMPGEnc, however, Procoder Express should do the same quality work. Couple of years ago it was $50.
