Losing Brightness on Finished Video

my finished video is duller than the original ??? Can I turn the brightness up ?
I`m losing about 10% brightness and a LOT of happiness .....can anyone gimme a solution to both ?? Thanks .

I can give you a solution that might give you happiness

First playback the video you captured, is it darker?
If so.. you can adjust the output while your video is playing back to your specifications in the Matrox Power Desk settings.
Asuming you have a Marvel or RR-G goto display properties and adjust the brightness in the TV out settings.

See if that works
