Damn Chief Lemon Buyer Strikes Again

Well my Nikon D80 has got a defect. Dunno if it's the Lens or the Cmos sensor itself. Every picture I take except when I really zoom out has grey blob at the same spot. The fact that it disappears on full zoom indicates it's the lense foir me.

But why does it happen to me.

I think it's the lens as well. Any dust on it?

Cleaned it and can't see a damn thing on it. Could be inside of course. I had this happen on my A2 but that dropped off during the day. Wonder if it's worth tapping it??

What focal length range can you see it - closer to the 18mm/wide or the 135mm/telephoto end? Pop into Jessops or similar if you have one handy, and ask to try other lenses

Took it down to Jessops who kindly cleaned both the lense and sensor for me but the problem remains. The Shop reckon it's a problem with the sensor and not the lense.
The company I bought it from have been in contact. I've just emailed them back with examples of the defect. I'm awaiting an reply from them. Hopefully they won't play silly buggers as companies tend to do.

Camera replaced today. Considering new year was around thats not a bad turn around. Can recommend that Company.
