I have a DiamondMax 60 HD and it always go into power save mode. So it spins down when I don't have any disk activity going on for 20 seconds and take forever to spin up when I access. I already turned off the power saving in Win2k and disabled the Acoustic Management on the HD itself. What else can I do?

did that...all are disabled....just for the record i have a fujisu HD in the box and it never does that....Comment

err...I didn't buy it. It's my computer at the workplace and the sys admin doesn't have a clue either.
I'll never buy a Maxtor myself....been a Quantum user for 8 years...from the Prodrive LPS to Fireball LM. Too bad POS Maxtor bought them out.Comment
