    Hacking a Fastrak66 controller card...

Howdy all. Some of you may remember a while back it was discovered that you could hack a Fastrack66 IDE controller card to make it RAID capable. I was sifting through my friends junk parts and found one, so I figured what the hell.

I have a page that has instructions on how to do the physical work, but no link to the bios that you need to flash to make it RAID capable. They suggest using the file ft66b108.bin, which I cannot find. I would think that not only would Promise have pulled the file for obvious reasons, but that the newer revisions would have some sort of protection against the hack.

Anyone have any insight/comments? Anyone actually have a working hacked card?

I assume that you've got a promise ata66 card. in that case all you need is on this page!

Outstanding, this will make a nice weekend project. Keep my busy so I don't have to do my homework for just a bit longer.
