An important point is that depending on the number, the size and the shape of the blades, you will favour either the speed of the flow of air or it's volume.
Now that's important because, for an aircraft to move at a certain speed, the air propelled by the blades has to reach at least that speed (in fact, of course, far more than that to combat all sorts of friction, the drag, ...).
In a PC, on the other hand, you don't need to reach such flow speeds, the volume of air is more important.
