Where to get english language games?

    Hi everybody

Where could I get english language games? I know I could get them from german internet shops - but not all games, at a premium, and they won't get cheaper over time...

I'm especially looking for Gabriel Knight 2 at the moment, maybe Diablo 2 - Lord of Destruction if I could get it cheap, and I'm really looking forward to playing Warcraft III and Mas0ter Of Orion III with my girlfriend once they are released, and there are far too many cheesy german localizations...

Which leads me to another question: Would a Duron 750, 256MB DDR, and a Kyro II be sufficient to play War3? (I don't think we'd need resolutions higher than 8x6)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Your best bet is to order them online from a UK distributor. I'm sure one of the UK MURCers knows some good sites to order from. Order with a credit card and the currency convertion is automatic.

I can run WC3 beta on my PIII 900, 512 MB RAM and Kyro II card without too much trouble. To get good framerates without choppiness when a lot of stuff is going on you may need to lower some setting, like lighting, shadows and texture detail. But it'll work.

Welcome to the wonderful world of money orders, certified/cashier checks and direct wire transfers. :0)

In other words, you better get the credit card.
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

          Az,

you can look at http://www.pcfun.de (located in Munich), they normally have english versions of the new (and old) games and you can pay via c.o.d

War3 runs just fine on my machine. P3-700x2 (yeah SMP, but it don't matter too much), 512MB, GF2Ti. Although it also ran fine with the Radeon and the Kyro.

War3 doesn't use too much of the GeForce specific features, so I imagine that it ought to be just fine on a Kyro.

And I've discovered that the speed is largely independent of how much is going on, and much MORE dependent on how much network traffic there is. It's the net connection that gets saturated, not the video.

I think for single player you'll be all set - and multiplayer will depend mostly on how well Blizzard tweaks the net engine.

                Yeah, thought of holland

Are there maybe any webshops that ship to germany and don't require a credit card? Driving to the netherlands is a bit hard without a car
