    Garbled text in Word 2000

    Word 2000 often produces garbled text like:

    on some of my users.

    They are running Win2k Matrox G550 - latest drivers and bios.

    Could this be a problem related to the card or... (?)

      If it were your card, font corruption usually effects all fonts on the screen, and other graphical glitches usually show. Maybe just your font files are corrupted.
      Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

          Not to be paranoid, but

          Not to be paranoid, but some Macro viruses do this. I would run a quick scan just in case.
