got one (efficient networks something or other)

Not good. Sometimes stops receiving packets, have to reboot to get it working again

Could be my (home)server though, as its only using my old celeron 300A that spent about 3 years at 450Mhz.

Then again, all that computer does is run a DHCP server, 1 printer, and the ADSL (with firewall of course). All on Win2KPro

I like external NAT routers more myself, but I suppose it comes down to cost.

I was also looking at the D Link dsl 504 which has a inbuilt moden 4 100mb ethernet ports inbuilt firewall nat which to mean seems a better bet.

I've got an alcatel speedtouch pci modem & haven't had the slightest whiff of a problem, touch wood, with it on both win98 & XP!
