    Bandwidth...and what it costs...

OK heres my question...how is pricing determed for Bandwidth useage? Is it based off the same concept as paying your Water or Electric bill, ie Gallons of Water or Kilowatt hours? Reason I ask this is I wonder how say if you do 20GB of bandwidth and get a bill for over $1000 or something extreme like that...where are they basing their costs on?
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

more bandwith usage (=more GB through the fiber) doesn't mean more cost to the companies. but there has to be some system to charge comapnies/users and that is the easiest way.
    no matrox, no matroxusers.

Companies have special network apps that keep track of usage. It's up to the compoany to decide how much to charge.
