XP CPU's, how much PSU power do I need?

    to my knowledge, most of the time, it is the power rail which supplies to the mobo/memory controller with AMDs that causes the most problems. I've heard such that the memory contorller draws more current than the rest of your goodies put together!
    Look, I know you think the world of me, that's understandable, you're only human, but it's not nice to call somebody "Vain"!

      TnT add up the peak current from each device in your system and you'll have your answer.

        Yeah I saved that pdf file listed above to do that, but got lazy when I got home from work

          I use the ANTEC 430 or 480 watt TruePower P/S's in my Windows systems (8) and they work just fine.

          Most of these have AthlonXP's, 3-5 drives, a CD burner and PCI cards; the minimum compliment of which is a Fasttrak100 or TX4, a video editing card of some type, a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz and a Linksys LNE100TX NIC.

          4 of the 8 systems have both DVD and CD drives.
