    Don't discount that so quickly. It took Matrox some time to accumulate a sufficient number of higher rate yield sorted G400s to include in the G400Max line. Its quite possible that Matrox is doing a similar thing for a higher end version of the current P.

      forget the floppy drive power connecter you would get another PSU for it

        Not forgetting that someone has to design the board for this, have a prototype made, find it OK, have some more prototypes made, discover the hair that decided it wanted to be part of your board design, and then get another set of prototypes made....
