How can you create a cmd prompt session inside Windows Explorer?

I use doshere.inf file, all of 1.6k to get "command prompt here" in my right button context menu.

I have used it in w95->winxp,

why do you need a program and 12mb of krap to do something that can be done by some registry tweaking?

Just download PowerToys from Microsoft.
It´s in there.

I like this one better than CPH.
It has quite a bit of 1337 factor
And it is more usefull for me because of the ease of changing directories.

Actually, it's an add-on to the shell. Like your history sidebar.
But you knew that, because you read the article. :P

Future updates to XP also include the runtime. Are you planning

It's much different from Command Prompt Here.

You hit "ctrl+m" in an explorer window, and it pops up this command prompt. Additionally, it changes directories as you navigate, so you can do mixed-mode work. It's GREAT for manipulating files. I love it. I've been using it since the first beta hit a couple months back.

Also great I guess for piping filelists into text files (great for hand-coded websites), and also renaming files en-mass using wildcards.

The things I miss about DOS ... I think I might just give this one a try.

I thought about something I'd do if I could code for the last few months - a command prompt for windows that's always docked (like the start bar), and only one (or two or three, configurable) line high - which automatically had keyboard focus (or a handy keyboard shortcut, like ctrl+m). I guess someone beat me to it - though it's only in explorer, I kinda like my solution
