    Ok, here's question - i wanna feed it native 1366x768 resolution.

    And projector will be a second head.

    For primary head i want an LCD monitor with DVI input.

    I would imagine that custom-resolution Parhellia would do just wine, but i also wanted to hear other options.

    Like Radeon 9700 has vga, dvi and s-video outputs. That works too since that projector doesn't have DVI (although i thought it did). Question is if it can do custom resolution on VGA output.

    Also, what about gf4? Does it have custom resolutions?

      What about a G550? Cheaper, better image quality than all but Parhelia.
      Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

          Parhelia DOES NOT support most non-mainstream resolutions at the moment, let alone custom resolutions.

          They might be there with future driver releases, and/or a new Matrox Tech Support Utility.

              Looks like i have to make a correction here - this thing doesn't have a VGA input! Duh.

              Ok, i got a little harder task for you now - i need a videocard with HDTV output heh.

              As for G550... well, i need my 3D performance. It's gonna be my gaming box too.

                      It has 5 BNC connectors - just get a D-SUB (the standard VGA plug) to BNC cable (with five plugs like those old network ones). Sony sells one as an accessory, but I bet it's way overpriced.

                          $40 is not much for that price of projector heh.

                          So what about resolutions?

                          Just to give you an example, radeon 9700 does support two 16:9 resolutions, but alas not that one, at least not in specs.

                              At this point, I'd just give up on trying to decide on one card. You're really looking for two different systems. The least you should do is get two different cards.

                                  Get the Radeon8500 with the component adapter or VGA-BNC. Then install Rage3d Tweak for all the custom resolutions you desire....
