i have just tried unlocking my athlon xp 2200 and have had no success i have connected the 5th l3 bridge on the processor with conductive paint yet still it is locked and will not boot with custom multiplier setttings on an asus a7v333 motherboard, can anybody offer a reason why and a solution?

Did you insulate the trenches before connecting the bridges? If not, you may have permanently locked the processor.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP. -
no i merely connected the 5th l3 bridge with a horseshoe around the trench there is no paint in the trench as shown here may i need to connect 2 other bridges?is a flower best picked in it's prime or greater withered away by time?

just re treid to unlock it and accidentally spilt conductive paint in the #5 l3 bridge the t'bred is now locked to 733mhz any ideas how i can get this back again?is a flower best picked in it's prime or greater withered away by time?

the multiplier is really messed up i selectr 14x in the bios and i get 6 then i select 13.5 and get 5.5 will try some other setting to see if i can acheive what i want with it.is a flower best picked in it's prime or greater withered away by time?

its a miracle my processor is now unlocked and running with selection up to 12x multiplier although i cannot get any higher than this i dont want to as all i wanted todo is cranck the fsb up anyway well thats a turn up for the books as the l3 #5 trench is full of conductive gunk and the bridges are not even connected!is a flower best picked in it's prime or greater withered away by time?
